Superyacht relocation. Big movement at Bering Yachts shipyard. At the end of October, Bering Yachts achieved important milestones in the construction of several yachts ranging from 77 to 145 feet.
The hulls of several models under construction have changed their “residency”. These big moves were performed between October 23rd and 24th at the Bering Yachts facilities in Antalya.
The latest and biggest was the Bering 145 model’s hull turning and superstructure joining.
Various welding, fairing, painting, and furniture installation works are progressing according to plan. Therefore, four hulls have changed their location in different hangars around an extensive Bering Yachts shipyard.
First, the Bering 92’s hull work was completed, and it was therefore time to change location from the general construction hangar to the airtight sterile painting shed. In this shed, she joined the almost fully painted Bering 77 to begin wiring and furniture installation work. This project will be the first performed at a recently acquired carpentry and furniture installation workshop in Bering Yachts’ shipyard.
Next, the Bering 145 flagship joined the hulls of Bering 117, Bering 76 and Bering 70, for sandblasting. The first flagship steel explorer’s appearance in the open air gave a breathtaking view of what this enormous yacht will eventually look like.
And, of course, the space released by Bering 145 will soon be used for a new undisclosed Bering Yachts project.
Bering Yachts’ President Alexei Mikhailov commented:
With all these recent activities, Bering Yachts set new records. We have never previously moved such big structural elements in such big quantities. This is two-folded process. On the one hand, Bering Yachts is growing our facilities. We are close to a complete full production cycle within our 5000 sq meter shipyard in Antalya. On the other hand, we are growing in terms of orders. We are happy that, despite the downtimes, we are enjoying substantial growth and the future for Bering Yachts looks very bright.
