First dock testing of my 34′ Hatteras electric conversion. Inboard (port side) is a 5kw Solid Nav 48v DC motor with reduction drive (this came with boat). Outboard (starboard side) is a 5kw Electric Marine 48v DC. Both are running off a bank of 8 – 12v in series parallel for 48volts at 225 Ah and charging with a 40 amp charger with 10 amps/12 v bank.
I ran both motors for 3 1/3 hrs at 15 amp draw and still had more juice. 1 bank was charging but I turned off charger for last 1/2 hr
Note: It seams like inboard motor is not fully alined with the shaft?
