Home » Boating Basics – Poop Tank Pump Out

This is Episode #1 of an ongoing series titled ‘Boater Basics’ in which I’ll try to offer some basic insights about everything to do with boating. From quick and easy to perhaps a little more advanced, hopefully I’ll be able to help out those who are new to boating, or are considering getting a boat, or moving up in size.

In this episode, I talk about what happens to the waste – poop and pee – that gets flushed down the toilet on the boat. As you’ll see, it’s a very simple process whereby the waste gets sucked out of the tank and sent to an onshore sewage or septic system.
