Headlines: Sunseeker is getting some new engines, Van Geest Design unveil a new concept, the Exoconcept & a $88 Million yacht’s eco-friendly lengthy trip

1. Sunseeker International signed a new general contract for the supply of MTU Series 2000 and Series 4000 engines for a range of yachts at this year’s Southampton Boat Show. MTU engines will power the new Sunseeker 95, 116 and 131. The MTU brand is part of Rolls-Royce Power Systems within the Land & Sea division of Rolls-Royce.
2. Dutch design company Van Geest Design recently unveiled their new Open 120m concept. The idea was to create a sleek design that would lead to an unobstructed environment from all guest areas on board. A helicopter landing pad is located forward on the bridge deck, with the aft area devoted to guest relaxation and entertainment. A large beach deck at water level features a day spa and wellness area.
3. This Exo electric watercraft was unveiled by EXOCONCEPT and can be used without a license. It provides ecological fun, is extremely innovative and iscompleted with the latest generation of high capacity batteries. This electric watercraft is available in two different materials, one with reinforced ABS and one with carbon fiber. If you prefer luxury and sport version, you better go with carbon fiber, since it also features the most powerful engine and other exclusive optional features that can be personalized.
4. “SILVERFAST” superyacht was designed by Silver yachts with an ace under their sleeve: it’s extremely eco-friendly but not setting aside the luxuries associated with a vessel that costs over $88 million and measures 252ft. The superyacht can travel from Australia to Europe (a 10,000 nautical miles journey) with just one fuel stop.
