The comfortable sunbathing cushions on the two sides of the companionway have been lowered close to the cockpit, thus raising its length. The bigger volumes in the forward section are perfectly hidden and integrated with the hull
chamfer changing the light reflex and marking the sleek line despite”

OLIVIER RACOUPEAU – Berret-Racoupeau Yacht Design: “We innovated in hull geometry. With a stepped bow to give her a wider beam, while maintaining excellent hydrodynamics, and a round chine to the stern, the hull of the Oceanis 51.1 is truly avant-garde. The chines are a strong feature of the design creating a very distinct profile. In terms of behaviour, it cuts nicely through the water upwind. This new Oceanis remains an easy boat to sail and it offers excellent”

SMART – Designed to make sailing even simpler, the Oceanis 51.1 is innovative in its choice of rigging and deck fittings. All the halyards and sheets are brought forward to the helm station. Dock & Go technology simplifies maneuvering in the harbor.

Safety and comfort come first at the two steering stations: removable foot straps, the position of the winches and the steering consoles are all part of her well-designed ergonomics.

The huge cockpit table, retractable davits and the plancha grill built into the aft bench reveal a practical and cleverly equipped cruising yacht.

COMFORT – The strong architectural choices of the Oceanis 51.1 increases the interior space considerably. The equipment on board echoes the generous volumes: washing machine, dish washer, and wine cellar contribute to a high living standard. Spacious and incredibly-well fitted, the U-shaped galley is a living space in its own right, as pleasant under sail as it is at anchor.

Continuing this unique idea of comfort into the more private areas, the Oceanis 51.1 has an owner cabin fitted with two storage spaces and has an en-suite shower room with separate toilet. The 1.6 m wide island bed is unheard of on a cruiser this size.

The deck layout of the Oceanis 51.1 is as spacious and incredibly-well organized as the interior, with lots of relaxation areas. The cockpit is well ventilated and boasts well distributed sunbathing areas on the coachroof. The large aft swim platform affords easy access to the sea and luxurious comfort.

FAST – To satisfy sailors seeking excellent performance, the designers of the Oceanis 51.1 have created a particularly well-fitted out version, whose name recalls the well-known Beneteau racing yacht. Fitted with an extra-long carbon or aluminium mast, the Oceanis 51.1 First
Line has up to 35% additional sail area in high-tech materials. The boat has a 2.8 m lead bulb keel in this high performance configuration. This reduces weight and hydrodynamic drag.

Fitted with a composite steering wheel and a bowsprit for a large spinnaker, this cruising yacht is amazing. As pleasant to watch as she is to beat upwind, you will find the performance of the Oceanis 51.1 hull astonishing.

Equipped with the Fastnet pack, she uses the best in racing electronics: screens with repeaters at the foot of the mast so that all the crew can keep an eye on trimming.
